UPCOMING EVENTS🔜 AND NEWS
-> It’s good news because it looks like Dominic is healthy again, as he confirmed he will be playing a crucial Davis Cup tie against Finland🇫🇮 to try to get closer to the 2020 Davis Cup finals. This tie will be held on September 1️⃣3️⃣th and 1️⃣4️⃣th .
-> After this, Dominic will play the Laver Cup representing team Europe🇪🇺 from September the 2️⃣0️⃣th to the 2️⃣2️⃣nd. He only played one match there against John Isner🇺🇸, against who he won, so let’s hope he can play more matches (maybe a doubles match too) to be able to make team 🇪🇺 win💪🏼👊🏼. Playing the Laver Cup means he will loose 2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ points from last year’s St Petersburg🇷🇺 title, so let’s hope he can win some good points on the Asian swing💪🏼👊🏼 .
-> After this, Dominic will return to playing regular ATP tournaments in Beijing🇨🇳 (ATP 500), Shanghai🇨🇳 (Masters 1000), Vienna🇦🇹 (ATP 500) and Paris🇫🇷 (Masters 1000). After this, there are the ATP Tour finals in London🇬🇧, for which Dominic has still not qualified but we hope he will for a 4️⃣th year in a row .
-> Now, on some news, with Medvedev’s deep run in the US Open and his recent success in the last couple of tournaments, he will live up to number 4️⃣ in the world, meaning that Dominic will drop to number 5️⃣. Nevertheless, Dominic doesn’t defend much points (except Paris🇫🇷 SF), so if his body lets him compete at his level, let’s see if he can win some good matches and regain that #4️⃣ spot💪🏼👊🏼
